My Favorite Face Masks of July

Hi again, it’s the end of the month and time to share my most favorite face masks of July! So lets begin with my top 3:

VSCO Cam-1.jpg

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask -  This mask is amazing and is now my favorite mask! It’s good for all skin types and helps with uneven skin tone, dullness and oiliness. This is an oil-free mask and it's vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.  It smells so good and makes my skin incredibly smooth. I woke up after using it for the first time and I was shocked at how much of a difference I saw in my skin so quickly. I didn’t need to apply any makeup to my skin since my face was already glowing and smooth after that very first use! I may be a sucker for the scent (yummy watermelon jolly rancher) but this is hands down my favorite mask ever.

Boscia Sake Bright White Mask – I may love this mask more than its sister Luminizing Black Mask, even though I did mention in my last post I raved about the black mask. This mask is the one, it has a beautiful white-pink glow. It brightens my skin instantly with the help of the main ingredient, Sake. It helps with any dryness, uneven skin tone that you may have. There’s only one drawback to this mask is that it does take a while for it to dry on your skin. To get a perfect peel from this one you definitely need to make sure there's a nice thick layer on your face. Other than that this will be my second favorite mask of July!

Sephora Collection Face Mask Avocado *not pictured – The Sephora Face Mask collection has a lot of different options but I picked up the Avocado one and loved it. It nourishes my skin when I need a quick boost. It’s super inexpensive so it’s perfect when you want to take care of your skin on budget without worrying if it will have any effect on your skin. It works wonderfully and I will try more masks from the Sephora collection and tell you what I think.

My Favorite Face Masks of June

I've been reflecting on all my skincare products that I have in my room, and I've finally gotten a list of my favorite masks that I've been trying out. I will try my best to do this monthly, but here are my top three favorite masks below:

Boscia Luminizing Black Mask - The Boscia Luminizing Black Mask will always be in my top 5 favorite masks! It was basically my first real mask and the beginning to the obsession of skincare. I also love the idea of a peel off mask for the simple fact that you don't have to wash your face afterwards (lazy girl problems). The oh so satisfying moment when you peel off your mask in one clean peel will always leave me smiling and wanting to use this Boscia mask more and more. It leaves my sin luminizing and soft.

L'Oreal Pure Clay Detox & Brighten Mask -  This mask is another shockingly amazing mask! I was not expecting to love it as much as I do and it only cost me $13!!!! It leaves my skin feeling buttery soft in just 10-15 minutes. You can buy this mask almost anywhere - I got mine at a Duane Reade and I'm super happy that I did!

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask - My love for Tata Harper is border line crazy! I really love her resurfacing mask and the packaging is entirely green which is my favorite color. The resurfacing mask is leaves your skin glowing afterwards and soft to the touch. The fragrance adds to the experience and its 100% all natural! Great stuff.

The Cleansing Waters That I Love and You Will Too!

Diving into your skincare routine is the ultimate and most satisfying kind of “me” time anyone can have. One frequently forgotten step to caring for your face is cleansing it with the proper cleansing water. To me, cleansing water is a great way to make sure you get the grime off your face that you collected during the day. It is also a great way to soften your skin.

Lately I’ve found a few great cleansing waters you should check out:

La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water - I first found out about this product while watching an Into the Gloss video featuring Isabelle Bellis. She emphasized the importance of thermal water while cleaning the face. This product is as amazing as Isabelle makes it seem. It is a soothing face mist that doesn’t feel like it attacks your face, it comes in multiple sizes (50, 150, 300 ml). I find that it really helps to soothe and smooth my skin out.

Avene Thermal Spring Water - This is my second favorite thermal spring water mist after the La Roche Posay. The spray is a little harsh when applying to the face, but I must say when you wipe your face with a cotton pad you can instantly see everything that was on the face. It calms and cools the face instantly, and you can visibly see the reduction of redness.

Lancome Eau Fraiche Douceur - This cleansing water is wonderful; it cleans your skin without drying it and leaves it clean, fresh, and smooth. I use it almost every day and my skin looks great, no breakouts, no blemishes, no clogged pores. The fragrance is relaxing. It’s not too strong or overpowering, but just right. It’s really refreshing to use to at the end of the day and first thing in the morning. I really recommend this product!

Too Cool for School Xakziuza Cleansing Water - I love the mechanics behind the bottle of this product. It reminds me a lot of the nail polish remover jars in nail salons, but that’s besides the point on why I love this product. It acts as a great cleanser and moisturizer all in one. It removes all my makeup including mascara and lipstick. I highly recommend this product.

My Favorite Tinted Moisturizer

If you’re reading my post today, you are an amazing friend and or a curious beauty lover like myself, either way I’m very thankful for you tiptoeing onto my blog. This is my first post on my new blog Coconut n' Honey and what better wayto start off than with my favorite go-to beauty product.

I love tinted moisturizers! I started using them during my freshman year of college. I went through a few different types, and I don’t even remember the names of the brands that I tried, but one has lasted 4-5 years later! My favorite would have to be from NARS. My shade is Seychelles for its medium/dark tint with golden and olive undertones. This $44 tinted moisturizer (and yes, I winced as I added in the price) from NARS can be easily purchased through NARS themselves or at Sephora. The price of the product is the only downside, it’s a lightweight moisturizer that evens skin tone and provides a translucent veil of UV protection. When using the product you don’t even need to use a large amount in order to gain the full coverage look you wish to have, a small dollop on the back of your hand will suffice. There are absolutely no parabens, sulfates, and phthalates (what?), which are basically the things we do not want on our bodies! The next amazing thing about this tinted moisturizer is that it's not only a “tinted moisturizer” but also doubles as sunscreen. This sheer coverage product has an SPF of 30 which makes this tinted moisturizer amazing to use during the summer and even winter time for great skin protection. This product amazed me – with time it evened out my skin tone and diminished my dark spots that I had problems with during my teenage years.

Please believe the hype! This beautiful tinted moisturizer probably will change your life as it melts into your skin to create a fresh perfected face to last lifetime.

What are some of your favorite tinted moisturizers that you've tried.
