My Holy Grail Face Mists That Are Worth My Money

Hey lovely people! I noticed that I have accumulated a cute stock of facial mists in my room, 10 to be exact. I’ve made a promise to use my mists often to be able to share my TOP favorites. I got it down to my top 5 maybe 6!  Mists can be used for so many different things, some need it to calm irritated skin I love my mists to brighten dull skin throughout the day. Don’t be the person to shoot down face mists as overpriced bottles of water.

Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist: I’ve wanted this mist for quiet some time now. I’ve been eyeing the full size bottle ($48), but I honestly couldn’t live with myself if I spent that much money on something that I may not like, let alone a face mist. With that mind set I opted for the smaller travel size bottle ($20) SUCH a better price and worth every penny. It’s almost winter, so I’m on the hunt for a face mist that will continue my summer glowy skin throughout the months ahead. I spray this after I apply my makeup and head out the door. It's absolutely amazing if you want that "glow".

Caudalie Beauty Elixir:  I grabbed this mist from the sample bins in Sephora; you know the ones while you wait to pay that lure you in to spend more money! I picked up the travel size ($18) and instantly fell in love with this mist. Let me begin by saying the scent is to die for. It’s extremely relaxing and boosts my mood when I’m having a stressful day. I take this product everywhere I go and I’m currently on my last spritz so that means I need another trip to Sephora.

True Botanicals Pacific Mist: I got this mist over a year ago; at the time I wasn’t so into mists. Now that I’m a mist junkie I will say this mist is so relaxing to use and softens my skin. This mist is a true multi-tasker it hydrates, nourishes and repairs aging skin. It plumps my skin and leaves the best dewy appearance.

Boscia Balancing Facial Tonic: So I will be honest with you, this mist I loved way before loving the first two mists that I mentioned in this post. This mist does so many things for skin, it can be used after cleansing, as a toner, or a refresher throughout the day. I have used it for all of these purposed and have really loved this product more and more everyday. Boscia products are great for all skin types, so if you do have sensitive skin I wouldn’t worry an ounce about this mist irritated your skin because it will not.

Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence:  I have a love hate with this face mist. I love the green bottle (green being my favorite color), but I really do not love the price. I added this mist into my top favorites since it is an all-natural product, I love the packaging, and the product smells so nice! It will cost you $68 … thankfully I got a bottle from a friend, but if that wasn’t the case I would not influence anyone to purchase a bottle if it is outside your means.

*Not Pictured Avene Thermal Spring Water: This mist is amazing because it can help reduce redness, which is something I know a lot of people need. And the best part is that it costs less than $15, I got mine at a Duane Reade! I LOVE THAT!

Let me know if you have tried any of these mists and if you loved them as much as I did.

Mask Highlight – Herbivore Blue Tansy AHA + BHA Resurfacing Clarity Mask

IMG_4736.jpg

I got this mask over a month ago, the days I have used it I can see immediate results of better looking skin. I was shocked that I was able to see results so quickly and my face felt amazing, soft and hydrated.

There is a distinct smell to this mask and sometimes it can grow to be a little overwhelming for me at times. Also, the mask does have a slight tingle when applied, but it's not harsh at all. The product itself has a runny consistency, so I suggest not applying too much to your face.

I'm dubious of anything that claims to be a miracle worker, but I have noticed a difference in my skin. I have been using many different masks to get my skin at the place that it is today.  It's hard to know how much I can attribute to blue tansy specifically, but my skin definitely feels smoother after use.

This is a clay-based mask that focuses on removing dead skin cells and fixing impurities. It leaves my skin feeling softer than ever. In order to achieve glowy and softer skin you must apply a thin layer to clean skin. Like I said a slight tingling is normal with this mask as it works to gently exfoliate and resurface the skin. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes or until the mask is completely dry. Rinse with warm water and bam your skin is better than ever!

The Blue Tansy mask has grown to become my new favorite exfoliating mask and I highly recommend it.

My Quick Morning Face

Lately I have been enjoying how my skin has been looking and with that I no longer feel the need to throw a ton of makeup on my face to hide anything. I’ve been doing this quick face before I leave the gym to head to work right after. It’s simple and effective, especially if you are in a rush!

First I start by moisturizing. A moisturizer I have been and loving would be the Boscia Green Tea Oil-Free Moisturizer. This is a great moisturizer and quickly become one of my favorites. It smells so good, its gentle and soft and leaves my skin feeling exactly that way. The green tea nourishes the skin, which makes the moisturizer 10 times more amazing.

Then I like to quickly apply a lightweight tinted moisturizer. I’m trying out the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream in Terra 8.5. I still love my NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, but I wanted to give the Complexion Rescue a try. Bare Minerals is good at enhancing your natural beauty, which is why I really love this product. For best results you have to apply with your fingertips,  It leaves my skin looking hydrated and healthy. They have a large range of shades to choose from (16 to be exact) and after basically trying all the shades in Sephora I finally found mine. I have been using this product everyday for the past two weeks for a quick “no makeup-makeup look”.

Last but not least, I can’t leave my house or any place without putting on mascara. I LOVE this Lancôme mascara, Monsieur Big Mascara. Lancôme’s mascara always leads within the industry, it’s a great stay all day formula. You can instantly see an increase in the length and volume in even two light swipes! This mascara is honestly the best, but it’s hard to get to the bottom lashes without making a mess other than that I love this product!

Of course, I need to do my brows I love a good glossier boy brow (in black). It is a staple to have in you have to have in your makeup bag.

Tata Harper Products

IMG_4741.JPG

This is already a given but I love getting new things especially new skincare products to try and enjoy. I recently got a Tata Harper product; the rejuvenating serum and I have given it a good try.

I have very dry skin (not very but it’s dry) and this product is honestly a lifesaver. Frist thing in the morning I would apply this to my face to keep my skin hydrated before I leave the comfort of my home. The smell is strong, but natural which tells me at least I’m not putting anything harmful and full of fragrances on my skin.  After a couple days of using, my skin felt really soft to the touch and not as dry. The price of this product is SO above my normal budget so I would recommend trying another product that can do the trick and is cheaper.

Following my newest addition to the skincare family, I finally brought out my Tata Harper purifying mask out of retirement. I had gotten this mask a long time ago actually and stopped using it only for the fact that I was scared I was going to run out and not be able to get another one. I REALLY love this mask. It honestly is one of my favorites; it makes me feel so refreshed and cool when I apply it to my skin. It has a nice smell, so it’s always a pleasure to use. I highly recommend trying it out today!

These are the 5 essential beauty products to pack for your next trip to Disney World

If you’re a first-time or a die-hard fan (like me), Disney World is one of the most magical places on Earth. And if you’re headed to Disney World, you’re likely to be in for a long magical day filled with long lines, parades, and lots and lots of fun in the sun! So I’ve put together a list of my beauty must-haves that will last through the entire day!

1.       Caudalie Beauty Elixir - I love this toning mist that sets makeup, provides an instant burst of radiance, and tightens the appearance of pores. This is the perfect to mist onto your face as you walk between rides in the park. A perfect quick burst of coolness that you will definitely need.

2.       Lano Lips 101 Ointment - this is probably the ultimate lip balm to use throughout the entire time at Disney. You can use this for extremely dry lips, skin patches, cuticles & many more. A super dense balm that seals in moisture, it will completely become your favorite after the first use.

3.       Lancome Hypnose Drama Waterproof Mascara -  I'm obsessed with this waterproof volumizing mascara that will last the entire day. PERFECT for one application before entering the park and having bold lashes for looking your best in character pictures in the park.

4.      Glossier Cloud Paint in Haze - I have a love/hate with putting on blush, but this pillowy, gel-cream blush formula is designed to be the most user-friendly cheek color in existence.  It's extremely easy to use, simply dab it onto cheeks wherever you please. But remember a tiny bit goes a very long way with this one.

5.     Boscia Green Tea Blotting Paper -  With the entire day being filled with running around in the hot sun. This is the perfect tool to blot away excess oils, using these plant based sheets.
